Guard Lions at the
Two massive carved Lions stand guard at the entry to the Dillon House.
The front porch is raised off the ground and contained by a brick wall and railing topped with limestone trim. At the base of the steps carved marble lions with shields greet visitors. The lions sit on limestone plinths. The pair reportedly came from the family home in Far Hills, New Jersey after the death of H.P. Dillon’s father in 1914.
Photo circa 1920. Believed to be H. P. Dillon’s Grandson.
